Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A pond before a classical ruin at dusk, Rome by Enrique Serra y Auque was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2003. The price achieved of GBP 376.00 (€ 489.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Enrique Serra y Auque achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish on The Terrace in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 205,823.75).
