In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Neo-Jomon: Dreaming Girl by En Iwamura. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 630,000.00 (€ 76,171.59), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by En Iwamura; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Neo-Jomon: Wild Hair (After Quarantine) sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,320.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Neo-Jomon: Dreaming Girl von En Iwamura zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 76.171,59) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von En Iwamura; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Neo-Jomon: Wild Hair (After Quarantine) im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.320,94).
