Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Emperor Kangxi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 247,500.00 (€ 21,636.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Kangxi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 3,068,000.00 (€ 345,461.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emperor Kangxi erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Poem in Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 247.500,00 (€ 21.636,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emperor Kangxi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.068.000,00 (€ 345.461,35).
