Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work French Nu Près Du Rive by Emmanuel Benner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,459.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Emmanuel Benner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At The Water'S Edge in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 50,776.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Nu Près Du Rive von Emmanuel Benner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.459,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emmanuel Benner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At The Water'S Edge im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 50.776,83).
