Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Winter Bathing Pond II by Emma McClure. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 729.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emma McClure - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fruit and flowers, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,686.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Bathing Pond II von Emma McClure zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 729,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Emma McClure mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fruit and flowers beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.686,07) versteigert wurde.
