This artwork by Emma McClure achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2006. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Passing Boat sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,784.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emma McClure; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fruit and flowers sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,686.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Emma McClure erzielte im August 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Passing Boat für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.784,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emma McClure; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fruit and flowers im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.686,07).
