Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work African Head by Emily Young for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,839.09). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Post-War British Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emily Young achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time Boy in June this year with an auction result of GBP 478,800.00 (€ 557,240.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit African Head von Emily Young für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.839,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emily Young erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time Boy im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 478.800,00 (€ 557.240,77).
