Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Eggplant” by Emily Gernild for DKK 6,500.00 (€ 870.93). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary art at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Emily Gernild have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 in December this year with an auction result of DKK 60,000.00 (€ 8,049.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Eggplant” von Emily Gernild für DKK 6.500,00 (€ 870,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary art bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emily Gernild auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 60.000,00 (€ 8.049,18).
