Auction result fails to reach estimate
When this work without title by Emily Gernild was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had set an estimate of DKK 8,000.00 but failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 5,500.00 (€ 738.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emily Gernild achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 in December this year with an auction result of DKK 60,000.00 (€ 8,049.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Emily Gernild im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 8.000,00 angegeben, edn dieses Werk bei seiner Vertsiegerung jedoch nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 5.500,00 (€ 738,37) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emily Gernild erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Celebratory Fragments”, 2020 im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 60.000,00 (€ 8.049,18).
