Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shepherds With Their Sheep by Emilios Prosalentis was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,254.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilios Prosalentis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).

Die Arbeit Shepherds With Their Sheep von Emilios Prosalentis kam im Mai 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.254,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29).
