The work Out To Sea by Emilios Prosalentis was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,379.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilios Prosalentis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Out To Sea von Emilios Prosalentis kam im Mai 2006 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.379,02) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29).
