Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Street Scene) by Emilio Sánchez was auctioned at Christies in New York in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 15,220.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilio Sánchez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sin título, which sold at auction in July 2021 for USD 37,800.00 (€ 31,861.09).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Street Scene) von Emilio Sánchez kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 15.220,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Emilio Sánchez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sin título beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für USD 37.800,00 (€ 31.861,09) versteigert wurde.
