Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Beige House) by Emilio Sánchez was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,301.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Sánchez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sin título in July 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 31,861.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Beige House) von Emilio Sánchez im November 2020 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.301,64) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Sánchez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sin título im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 31.861,09).
