In November 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Elegant lady overlooking Vianden, Luxembourg by Emile Joseph Patoux. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Elegant lady overlooking Vianden, Luxembourg is the most expensive artwork by Emile Joseph Patoux that we have observed at auctions so far.
