Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Vermont Birches by Emile Albert Gruppe. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,215.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emile Albert Gruppe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunny Morning Gloucester, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).
