The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,013.02), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emile Albert Gruppe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunny Morning Gloucester, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).

Die Arbeit Harbor with Sailboats von Emile Albert Gruppe wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.013,02) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Emile Albert Gruppe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunny Morning Gloucester beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 19.975,00 (€ 23.538,77) versteigert wurde.
