In May 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Mending the Nets by Emile Albert Gruppe. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,227.98), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emile Albert Gruppe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunny Morning Gloucester in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 19,975.00 (€ 23,538.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mending the Nets von Emile Albert Gruppe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.227,98) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emile Albert Gruppe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunny Morning Gloucester im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.975,00 (€ 23.538,77).
