In June 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work View Of Toledo by Émile Friant. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,625.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Friant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Political Discussion in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 212,500.00.

Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of Toledo von Émile Friant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.625,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Friant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Political Discussion im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 212.500,00.
