Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Vesuvius by Émile Friant was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2018. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Friant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Political Discussion in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 212,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mount Vesuvius von Émile Friant kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Friant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Political Discussion im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 212.500,00.
