In the Photographs auction, the work Le Nouvel Opéra de Paris -- Sculpture Ornementale. Paris: Ducher et Cie, 1875 changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,576.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis-Emile Durandelle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Nouvel Opera de Paris par Charles Garnier, Paris: Ducher et Cie, 1875-81, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 17,625.00 (€ 29,548.71).
