The work Austrian after The Storm by Emil Jakob Schindler was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 45,000.00 (€ 61,107.84), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Jakob Schindler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landschaft bei Hacking (Landscape at Hacking), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,459.17).

Die Arbeit Austrian after The Storm von Emil Jakob Schindler wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 45.000,00 (€ 61.107,84) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Jakob Schindler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landschaft bei Hacking (Landscape at Hacking) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.459,17) versteigert wurde.
