Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Austrian aus Dem Prater (The Prater Gardens) by Emil Jakob Schindler. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 57,159.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emil Jakob Schindler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landschaft bei Hacking (Landscape at Hacking), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,459.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian aus Dem Prater (The Prater Gardens) von Emil Jakob Schindler zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 57.159,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Emil Jakob Schindler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landschaft bei Hacking (Landscape at Hacking) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 96.000,00 (€ 142.459,17) versteigert wurde.
