Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barbara Goalen On The Roof Of Whitworth & Mitchell'S Manchester Showroom, 1952 by Elsbeth Juda was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,369.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elsbeth Juda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Henry Moore In His Studio At Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, Working On 'King And Queen', 1953, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,836.28).
