The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,177.16), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eloise Harriet Stannard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.177,16) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
