The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,821.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eloise Harriet Stannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).
