Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pictures, which included the work Raspberries in a wicker basket with pears and redcurrants; and black grapes in a glass bowl with peaches and whitecurrants by Eloise Harriet Stannard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 20,567.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Eloise Harriet Stannard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2002 the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge was auctioned for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Raspberries in a wicker basket with pears and redcurrants; and black grapes in a glass bowl with peaches and whitecurrants von Eloise Harriet Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 20.567,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
