Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work Plums, grapes, pears, whitecurrants, a peach, an apple, and a pineapple, in a wicker basket, on a stone ledge by Eloise Harriet Stannard. The price achieved of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,348.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eloise Harriet Stannard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).

Im November 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plums, grapes, pears, whitecurrants, a peach, an apple, and a pineapple, in a wicker basket, on a stone ledge von Eloise Harriet Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.348,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden.
