Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pictures, which included the work An Apple, Black Grapes, Two Oranges And Cob Nuts On Oriental Plate, With Holly In A Glass Vase, On A Wooden Table by Eloise Harriet Stannard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,125.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eloise Harriet Stannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.125,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
