Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work A basket of strawberries by Eloise Harriet Stannard. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 10,120.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eloise Harriet Stannard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A basket of strawberries von Eloise Harriet Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 10.120,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Eloise Harriet Stannard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Apples, a pineapple and black grapes in a basket, beside an upturned basket with a pear, plums, redcurrants, a peach, white grapes and a butterfly on a wooden ledge beobachtet, die im November 2002 für GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.812,24) versteigert wurde.
