Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work View of the Valley by Elmer Wachtel. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,644.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Wachtel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the Valley von Elmer Wachtel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.644,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Wachtel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The California Coast 40 x 60in im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.825,00 (€ 153.073,71).
