Auction result well in line with expectations
The work California Landscape with Sycamores by Elmer Wachtel was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,498.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Wachtel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).

Die Arbeit California Landscape with Sycamores von Elmer Wachtel wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert.
