Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work A Burst of Spring by Elmer Wachtel. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,645.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Wachtel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Burst of Spring von Elmer Wachtel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.645,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Wachtel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The California Coast 40 x 60in im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.825,00 (€ 153.073,71).
