Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Santa Barbara Coast by Elmer Wachtel was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Wachtel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Santa Barbara Coast von Elmer Wachtel wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.376,00 (€ 4.928,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Wachtel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The California Coast 40 x 60in im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.825,00 (€ 153.073,71).
