In the California Art auction, the work Secluded Mission, Santa Barbara sold for USD 21,562.50 (€ 18,273.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elmer Wachtel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).
