Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work A Quaint Oriental Shop by Elliott Daingerfield. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,181.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Elliott Daingerfield have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2013 the work Grand Canyon, Moonlight was auctioned for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,026.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Quaint Oriental Shop von Elliott Daingerfield zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.181,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Elliott Daingerfield konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2013 die Arbeit Grand Canyon, Moonlight für USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.026,07) versteigert.
