Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beside Golf Links (2) by Elizabeth Magill was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,975.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Magill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heartland in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 55,950.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beside Golf Links (2) von Elizabeth Magill wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.975,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Magill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heartland im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 55.950,01).
