Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction (Women) Artists, which included the work Portrait of Marion Kerr by Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,728.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work April in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 142,400.00 (€ 211,339.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion (Women) Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Marion Kerr von Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.728,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit April im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 142.400,00 (€ 211.339,43).
