Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Art du XXe siècle, which included the work Rue Du Mont Cenis by Élisée Maclet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,120.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Élisée Maclet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chartres. La cathedrale et la basse ville in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,163.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Art du XXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rue Du Mont Cenis von Élisée Maclet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.120,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Élisée Maclet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chartres. La cathedrale et la basse ville im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.163,90).
