Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Street in Winter 18 1/4 x 21 3/4 in. (46.4 x 55.2 cm) framed 25 3/4 x 29 1/4 x 2 1/2 in. by Élisée Maclet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 997.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Élisée Maclet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chartres. La cathedrale et la basse ville in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,163.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Street in Winter 18 1/4 x 21 3/4 in. (46.4 x 55.2 cm) framed 25 3/4 x 29 1/4 x 2 1/2 in. von Élisée Maclet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 997,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Élisée Maclet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chartres. La cathedrale et la basse ville im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.163,90).
