In August 2007 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works, which included the work Australian Carmalinda Landscape by Elioth Gruner. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87), 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Elioth Gruner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Mingoola Valley in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 150,000.00 (€ 92,232.22).

Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Carmalinda Landscape von Elioth Gruner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elioth Gruner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Mingoola Valley im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 150.000,00 (€ 92.232,22).
