Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eliot Elisofon could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection auction, the work Untitled, 1938 changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 536.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eliot Elisofon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3rd Avenue El Stairs, 1937 in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,661.45).
