Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary Art & Design, which included the work "Salle de bain au mimosa", 2004 by Elina Brotherus. It changed hands for a price of SEK 19,000.00 (€ 1,868.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elina Brotherus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Printemps from 'The New Painting', 2001 in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,136.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary Art & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Salle de bain au mimosa", 2004 von Elina Brotherus zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von SEK 19.000,00 (€ 1.868,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elina Brotherus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Printemps from 'The New Painting', 2001 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.136,13).
