Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "I hate sex", 1998. by Elina Brotherus was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,360.10), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Elina Brotherus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Printemps from 'The New Painting', 2001 in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,136.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "I hate sex", 1998. von Elina Brotherus wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.360,10) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elina Brotherus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Printemps from 'The New Painting', 2001 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.136,13).
