Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Salome with the head of John the Baptist by Einar Utzon-Frank was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 75,000.00 (€ 10,068.68). Other works by Einar Utzon-Frank have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June this year by the work “Pegasus fødsel” (The Birth of Pegasus), 1917/1927 at DKK 80,000.00 (€ 10,739.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Salome with the head of John the Baptist von Einar Utzon-Frank im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 75.000,00 (€ 10.068,68) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Einar Utzon-Frank wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres die Arbeit “Pegasus fødsel” (The Birth of Pegasus), 1917/1927 mit DKK 80.000,00 (€ 10.739,93).
