In the California and Western Art auction, the work Mission Santa Barbara (Etta and Clarence) sold for USD 8,825.00 (€ 7,393.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edwin Deakin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vernal Falls in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 60,312.50 (€ 51,112.29).
