In November this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction California Art, which included the work A Peaceful Day (At San Juan Bautista Mission, California) by Edwin Deakin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,755.04), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Deakin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vernal Falls in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 60,312.50 (€ 51,112.29).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Peaceful Day (At San Juan Bautista Mission, California) von Edwin Deakin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.755,04) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Deakin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vernal Falls im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.312,50 (€ 51.112,29).
