Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Castle Crags, Snowcapped Mountains by Edwin Deakin was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,850.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Deakin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vernal Falls in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 60,312.50 (€ 51,112.29).
