In the Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe auction, the work A carriage horse at the stable gates sold for GBP 5,750.00 (€ 6,871.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edwin Cooper; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A foxhound and her litter sold at auction in November 2003 with the realized price of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,493.84).
