In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART AND DOGS, which included the work A foxhound and her litter by Edwin Cooper. The price achieved of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 13,493.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A foxhound and her litter is the most expensive artwork by Edwin Cooper that we have observed at auctions so far.
