Auction result well in line with expectations
The work House by a Lake by Edward Wesson was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2002. The price achieved of GBP 258.50 (€ 410.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Wesson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thames barges racing on the estuary in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,240.00 (€ 4,702.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit House by a Lake von Edward Wesson kam im September 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 258,50 (€ 410,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Wesson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thames barges racing on the estuary im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.240,00 (€ 4.702,68).
